We agree that DDMs are a waste of time and resources: implementing them is needlessly complicated, they are invalid when used to assess educator impact, and, thanks to the passage of the Every Student Succeeds Act in December, DDM’s are no longer required by the federal government.
Yet the district is still bound by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to report a list of DDMs to DESE at the end of this school year, and will be required to implement the full DDM system at the end of next school year.
