The news out of Mendon is disappointing. The override vote failed 717 to 606. The Upton override vote will still take place on Monday May 18th. The School Committee has the option of re-certifying the budget and is open to doing so. If it is re-certified, they will ask for a level-service budget. A level-service budget will still require another override vote in Mendon and passage in Upton. Upton residents – please vote on Monday. Please ask all eligible family members to vote on Monday. Please talk to your neighbors and friends and ask them to vote on Monday. The override will not pass without your votes!
